# FAQ

Common questions about the company, product selection, development, business, and support.

## A. Company & Brand

### A1 What kind of company is LimX Dynamics?

LimX Dynamics was founded in January 2022 and is headquartered in Shenzhen, China. We are an embodied-AI robotics OEM that develops its own robot hardware design and manufacturing, cerebellum–cerebrum fusion technology, and an embodied-agent operating system. On that basis we have built a three-layer technology stack: System 0 (whole-body motion-control foundation model), System 1 (humanoid VLA/WAM skills and AI infrastructure), and System 2 (LimX COSA, our embodied-agent OS). Our product line covers the full-size humanoid robots LimX Oli and LimX Luna; the multi-form robots TRON 2 and TRON 1; the humanoid brain systems LimX COSA and COSA 0.5; and the open-source VLA engineering foundation FluxVLA Engine. See [/en/about](/en/about) for more.

### A2 What is embodied intelligence, and what does LimX Dynamics do in this field?

Embodied intelligence is AI that perceives, decides, and acts in the physical world through a body — extending intelligence beyond the screen. LimX Dynamics works across three core technologies: original design and manufacturing of robot hardware, cerebellum–cerebrum fusion (whole-body motion control plus VLA), and LimX COSA, our embodied-agent operating system. These come to life in four robots — the full-size humanoid robots **LimX Oli** and **LimX Luna**, and the multi-form robots **TRON 2** and **TRON 1** — as well as the open-source VLA engineering foundation FluxVLA Engine. For positioning and use cases, see the next section, Products & Selection.

## B. Products & Selection

### B1 What products does LimX Dynamics offer, and what is each one used for?

LimX Dynamics builds full-size general-purpose humanoid robots and the multi-form TRON series. Our lineup includes LimX Luna, an interactive humanoid for commercial performance (malls, museums, theme parks, stages), where many units can run synchronized shows; LimX Oli, a general-purpose humanoid for embodied-AI research in universities, labs, and companies, for algorithm validation and secondary development; TRON 2, a multi-form embodied robot for dual-arm manipulation and mobility, such as flexible tasks, data collection, and VLA training; and TRON 1, a multi-form biped for reinforcement-learning and locomotion research and teaching. On the software side, the core is **LimX COSA**, our embodied-agent operating system, alongside the open-source VLA engineering foundation FluxVLA Engine and its companion cloud training platform FluxTraining. For more, visit our News Center ([/en/news](/en/news)).

### B2 Which product should I choose, and how do I know which one fits my needs?

Choose by use case: Luna for commercial performance and on-site interaction; Oli for research, development, and algorithm validation; TRON 2 for dual-arm manipulation and VLA development; TRON 1 for reinforcement-learning research. For positioning and specs, see the product comparison table.

### B3 What is the difference between Luna and Oli, and which one should I choose?

Both are full-size humanoids, each with a different focus. Luna (160 cm / 54 kg / 27 DoF) is built for commercial performance and interaction — a face display, multimodal interaction, intelligent swarm control, and dance performance, ready to use out of the box. Oli (165 cm / 55 kg / 31 DoF) is built for research and development, with full-Python programming, a modular SDK, and open interfaces. Choose Luna for performance and interaction; choose Oli for development and research.

### B4 What is the difference between TRON 1 and TRON 2, and which one should I choose?

Both switch between multiple forms but serve different needs. TRON 1 is a biped: an all-in-one modular foot switches it between point-foot, biped, and wheeled-biped configurations, and it is designed as an entry point for reinforcement-learning research — ready to use out of the box. TRON 2 is an embodied robot that can be configured with dual arms, biped legs, or wheeled-biped legs. Each arm has 7 DoF, the dual-arm payload is 10 kg, and it ships with a one-stop VLA data-collection platform with real-robot data. Choose TRON 1 for RL research; choose TRON 2 for manipulation tasks and VLA development.

### B5 What forms and configurations do your robots support?

Our robots come in multiple forms and configurations. Luna and Oli are both full-size humanoid bipeds. TRON 1 uses an all-in-one modular foot to switch between point-foot, biped, and wheeled-biped forms — the software detects the current form and switches locomotion modes automatically. TRON 2 can be configured with dual-arm, biped, or wheeled-biped modules.

### B6 What can each product do? (Capability overview)

Luna: a full-size interactive humanoid with 27 DoF, a face display, and multimodal interaction, supporting intelligent swarm control and dance performance for commercial performance (details: [/en/products/luna/faq](/en/products/luna/faq)). Oli: a full-size general-purpose humanoid with 31 DoF, depth cameras, and our in-house 6-axis IMU, with full-Python programming and a modular SDK for research and development (details: [/en/products/oli](/en/products/oli)). TRON 2: a multi-form embodied robot with 7 DoF per arm, a 10 kg dual-arm payload, and a 1.5 m working height, shipping with a one-stop VLA data-collection platform (details: [/en/products/tron2](/en/products/tron2)). TRON 1: a multi-form biped, ready to use out of the box for reinforcement-learning research. For forms and configurations, see the previous question.

### B7 What are LimX COSA, VGM, and DreamActor?

LimX COSA is an embodied-agent operating system (Cognitive OS of Agents) — a physical-world-native agentic system that manages all the models, skills, memory, and emotions built into the robot, coupling high-level cognitive planning with low-latency motion-control loops so a humanoid can perceive and move at once and "think while working". VGM (Video-Generated Manipulation) is a manipulation algorithm released in February 2025 that trains manipulation policies from human video data, reducing reliance on teleoperation data. DreamActor is a new paradigm for embodied-AI training, released in September 2025, using a multi-source data recipe, with related research published at CoRL 2025. All three are algorithm- and system-level capabilities used with our robot hardware; see the glossary at [/en/glossary](/en/glossary) for details.

For simulation, Oli supports NVIDIA Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, and Gazebo; TRON 1 and TRON 2 support mainstream simulators and are compatible with ROS2 and ROS; in FluxVLA Engine, the simulation layer connects to Isaac Sim and LIBERO. Luna's simulation and training run on the official cloud desktop.

### C4 What is VLA? What are FluxVLA Engine and FluxTraining?

VLA (Vision-Language-Action) means a model that turns visual and language input directly into robot actions. FluxVLA Engine is our open-source, standardized engineering foundation for embodied intelligence. It uses unified configuration, standard interfaces, and decoupled modules to connect the full pipeline — data processing, model training, simulation evaluation, and real-robot deployment — with 5–10× faster inference. FluxTraining is the companion cloud platform for training and managing models online. See the glossary at [/en/glossary](/en/glossary) for details.

### C5 What external sensors and interface expansion options are supported?

Interfaces vary by product. Oli provides Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0–3.2, and 24 V / 12 V power outputs, with an Intel RealSense D435i depth camera on the head and chest. TRON 1 offers three expansion kits: mobile manipulation, voice interaction (with an NVIDIA NX high-compute module), and perception (LiDAR plus depth camera). TRON 2 supports ROS2 and ROS for connecting external sensors and host systems. For the full interface list, see each product page and the Documentation Center ([/en/documents](/en/documents)).

## F. Safety & Reliability

### F1 What safety features do your products have?

Take Luna: it has four layers of protection — collision detection, fall detection, motion abort, and an emergency-stop button. TRON 2 adds safety-boundary protection and dual-power redundancy: if power is cut, its arms slowly retract to a safe position. In any scenario, embodied robots must be operated per their operating and safety instructions — never bypass the built-in safety protections.

### F2 How is safety ensured in human-robot collaboration?

During human-robot collaboration, follow the operating instructions and on-site safety requirements, keep a safe distance, operate only under trained personnel, and never bypass the built-in safety protections. For the safety features themselves, see the previous question.

### F3 How reliable and stable are your products?

Every product is tested for function and stability in our labs before shipment. We provide ongoing firmware and feature updates via OTA. For reliability in your specific use case, submit an inquiry through our Order & Inquiry form ([/en/order](/en/order)) and talk to our sales team about your operating environment. This page does not publish MTBF or other reliability figures.
