165 cm full-size humanoid with 31 DoF built for embodied intelligence R&D

LimX Dynamics today officially launched its general-purpose full-size humanoid robot LimX Oli. It’s currently available only in Mainland China. A global version is coming soon.

Standing at 165 cm and equipped with 31 active degrees of freedom (excluding end-effectors), LimX Oli adopts a general-purpose humanoid configuration with modular hardware-software architecture and is supported by a development toolchain. It is built to advance embodied AI development from algorithm research to real-world deployment.

Targeted at AI researchers, robotics developers, and systems integrators, LimX Oli is available in Lite, EDU, and Super editions, offering comprehensive development for training, validating, and applying perception, motion control, and interaction control algorithms.

What’s more, LimX Oli will make its public debut on August 8 at the World Robot Conference (WRC) in Beijing.

LimX Oli adopts a 165 cm full-size humanoid configuration with 31 active degrees of freedom, enabling high-fidelity human-like motion and seamless operation in real-world scenarios. Its configuration supports advanced whole-body loco-manipulation control and motion generation:


  • 7 DoFs per arm
  • 6 DoFs per leg
  • 3 DoFs in the waist
  • 2 DoFs in the neck


With self-developed hardware and whole-body motion control algorithms, LimX Oli provides a reliable platform for locomotion, dexterous manipulation, multimodal interaction, and reinforcement learning.

Modular and Open Architecture: Enabling Rapid and Flexible Integration

LimX Oli features modular hardware and software design with well defined, developer-friendly interfaces. Hardware components can be easily swapped, supporting multiple end-effectors such as two-finger grippers and dexterous five-finger hands, as well as third-party peripherals including microphones, cameras, tactile sensors, IMUs, and LiDAR systems.

The open SDK provides access to full-body state, sensor data, joint-level control, and task-level orchestration. Whether for teleoperation systems or imitation learning pipelines, developers can rapidly build and test without modifying the underlying architecture.

Cloud Integration and OTA Support: A Continuously Evolving Toolchain

LimX Oli offers seamless integration of cloud-based APIs and local control. Motion libraries and controller modules are delivered via OTA updates, enabling developers to use preset motions or develop and deploy custom logic for fast iteration and real-world testing.

The platform supports onboard deployment of large language models, allowing natural language interaction and multi-stream sensor fusion for advanced perception, planning, and embodied reasoning.
